Farewell in honor of H.E. Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan

MAAP (Monbukagakusho Alumni Association of Pakistan) organized a farewell dinner at Margalla Hotel on 10th April 2011 in the honor of His Excellency Ambassador of Japan Mr. Chihiro Atsumi and his wife Mrs. Akiko Atsumi. H.E Ambassador Mr. Chihiro has successfully completed his three-year tenure in Pakistan. He worked very closely with MAAP to promote higher education in Pakistan.

The program officially began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Dr. Sardar-ud-Din. Dr M. Munir Ahmad, ex. general secretary delivered the welcome address. He expressed his gratitude and acknowledgment for the services of his Excellency in the promotion of Pak-Japan relationship in all fields, particularly those pertaining to in education. On behalf of all the MAAP members, He bid farewell to the Ambassador with the hope of further strengthening the ties between both countries and frequent and close contact. . Other members of the embassy also graced the occasion, including Ms.Kuniko Nakamura, First Secretary and Head of the Public Affair Department, Ms. Mayumi Tsubakimoto, Mr. Mushtaq Moeeni and Ms.Saba Tariq.

His Excellency, the Ambassador formally addressed the MAAP members and expressed his immense gratitude to the MAAP members for their untiring efforts in consolidating the friendly relations between Pakistan and Japan. He also conveyed his warm feelings about Pakistan -Japan's friendship and highlighted how this friendship has strengthened over the years

The address was concluded with a dinner hosted in the honor of Mr. Ambassador and his wife along with the MAAP members. Light pleasantries were shared during the meal and matters regarding common interest were discussed.
