Welcome Reception in honor of new Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan

A welcome reception in honor of newly appointed Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, H.E. Hiroshi Inomata, was organized in Margalla Hotel on 28th October 2013. The guests from the Embassy of Japan (EOJ) included H.E. Mr. Hiroshi Inomata (The Ambassador of Japan), wife of H.E. Mrs. Midori Inomata, Mr. Takashi Katae (Deputy Chief of the Mission), wife of Deputy Chief Mrs. Motoko Katae, Mr. Toshikazu Isomura (Counselor and Head of the Public Affairs Department), Ms. Tomoko Koide (Deputy Head of the Public Affairs Department). Mr. Mushtaq Moeeni and Ms Tariq Saba from Public Affair Section of the Japanese Embassy, Islamabad were also present in the event. In addition MAAP executives and a large number of MAAP members also participated in the event to welcome the guests.

The formal event was commenced with the recitation of Holy Qur’an by Dr. Sadar Uddin Siddiqui. The General Secretary of the MAAP, Mr. Zafar Mahmood, welcomed the honorable guests and introduced MAAP, its activities, and thanked all participants for their interest and kind participation in promotion of cultural ties between the two countries. Later all the MAAP members introduced themselves, followed by introduction by the honorable guests.

The MAAP President Prof. Dr. Khalid Rashid delivered welcome address. According to him this is an excellent opportunity to promote cordial and fruitful interaction among MAAP members and officials of the EOJ. This occasion should therefore be used to promote further good will, cooperation and understanding between MAAP and EOJ. It was underscored that the H.E. Hiroshi Inomata after his arrival in Pakistan visited education institutions like COMSATS Institute of Information Technology and Quaid e Azam Univesity Islamabad which shows his interest in the promotion of bilateral educational ties. The continuous support and cooperation extended to MAAP by the EOJ was highly appreciated. Prof. Dr. Khalid Rashid emphasized that MAAP members have learned a lot from Japan. In addition to formal education values like full commitment to student teacher (Sensei) relationship, sense of public responsibly , hard work, punctuality, food habits have also been absorbed by the MAAP members.

By virtue of His Excellency position as Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, Hiroshi Inomata was requested to except the honor of patron in chief of MAAP which he accepted delightfully.

The chief guest H.E. Hiroshi Inomata addressed the gathering. He thanked the MAAP for arranging a welcome reception in his honor. He appreciated MAAP activities and commitment and enthusiasm to further strengthening bilateral relation between Pakistan and Japan. He hoped that the relation between the two countries will further strengthen in future.

Flower bouquets were presented to H.E. Hiroshi Inomata and Mr. Takashi Katae as gesture of good relations between MAAP and EOJ.

Finally the most senior MAAP member Mr. Sultan Sikandar Khan conveyed the vote of thanks. Reception dinner followed and concluded with group photographs.
