The Japan Foundation works with local host institutions to administer the test outside Japan. In Pakistan, National University of Modern Languages (NUML) in collaboration with MEXT Alumni Association of Pakistan (MAAP), and the Embassy of Japan, Islamabad arranges the JLPT in Islamabad to facilitate the Japanese Language speakers living in and around the capital.
