SAFJUAA REUNION 集い (Tsudoi) 2025 – Celebrated South Asian Alumni Unity

In November 2025, Japanese university alumni from across South Asia gathered in Islamabad for the SAFJUAA Reunion 集い (Tsudoi) 2025, proudly hosted by the Monbukagakusho Alumni Association of Pakistan (MAAP). Organized on November 7 & 8 under the leadership of Dr. Nasir M. Khan, President SAFJUAA / MAAP, the event brought together scholars, professionals, and leaders united by their academic roots in Japan and their shared commitment to sustainable development in the region.

The South Asian Federation of Japanese Universities Alumni Associations (SAFJUAA) serves as a dynamic platform connecting alumni from South Asian countries who studied at Japanese universities. With Pakistan currently serving as the Chair, the 2025 Reunion was held at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) in Islamabad. The event welcomed representatives from the Embassy of Japan, MAAP members, students interested in Japan, and senior alumni leaders who joined both in person and online.

Participants from Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal showcased their language skills in a vibrant and engaging competition—one of the most anticipated segments of the Reunion.
