The Monbukagakusho\u2013MEXT Alumni Association of Pakistan (MAAP)<\/strong> brings together Pakistani scholars, researchers, and professionals who studied or conducted research in Japan under scholarships from MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan)<\/strong> and other related programs.<\/p>

Established in March 1996 in Islamabad<\/strong> with the warm support of the Embassy of Japan<\/strong>, MAAP serves as a vibrant network for those who have experienced Japan\u2019s world-class education and culture. Our members come from diverse fields \u2014 including science and technology, medicine, social sciences, and public policy \u2014 and share a common passion for strengthening the bond between Pakistan and Japan<\/strong>.<\/p>

Membership is open to anyone who has studied or worked in a Japanese institution for at least one year. MAAP also welcomes honorary members<\/strong> who have contributed meaningfully to promoting Pakistan-Japan friendship and cooperation.<\/p>

Through our activities \u2014 such as Japanese language classes, cultural exchange programs, guidance for students planning to study in Japan, annual gatherings, and joint events with the Embassy of Japan<\/strong> \u2014 MAAP continues to build bridges of understanding and friendship. The Association also plays a key role in organizing the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test)<\/strong>, supporting MEXT scholarship selections<\/strong>, and collaborating with regional alumni networks like SAFJUAA<\/strong>.<\/p>

Today, many MAAP members hold leading positions in academia, research, industry, and government. The Monbukagakusho\u2013MEXT Alumni Association of Pakistan (MAAP)<\/strong> connects scholars and professionals across Pakistan and beyond, fostering academic exchange, collaboration, and lifelong friendship among those who studied in Japan.<\/p>

MAAP actively promotes Pakistan\u2013Japan relations<\/strong> by guiding students seeking admission to Japanese universities, supporting the Embassy of Japan<\/strong> in MEXT scholar selection and cultural events, and organizing activities such as orientations, alumni gatherings, and monthly meetings.<\/p>

The Association also conducts the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT)<\/strong>, publishes a bi-annual newsletter<\/strong>, and collaborates with regional alumni networks like SAFJUAA<\/strong>.<\/p>
