The exhibition was inaugurated in a prestigious ceremony held live on Zoom on March 13<sup>th<\/sup> 2021. H.E. Mr. Kuninori MATSUDA, the Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, inaugurated the exhibition together with the President MAAP Dr. Nasir M. Khan and other distinguished members of MAAP and Embassy officials.<\/p><p>Japanese Calendars Exhibition is an annual feature of the cultural activities organized by the Embassy in collaboration of MAAP and is very popular among the people of Pakistan. This year, due to Covid, the exhibition was held virtually and was arranged with the cooperation of Japan Calendars Association and various Japanese companies.<\/p><p>Ambassador MATSUDA, while speaking at the inaugural ceremony said that the purpose of this exhibition is to showcase a vibrant depiction of the Japanese heritage and cultural identity by reflecting images from traditional and contemporary arts, from sports, automobiles, nature, heritage and architecture to Japanese Kimono and Ikebana. The calendars exhibition coincides the newly launched MAAP\u2019s Website which would depict variety of Japanese cultural heritage both traditionally as well as contemporary, he added.<\/p><p>The Ambassador lauded the support and cooperation extended by the MAAP for holding this online exhibition which was not possible without the help of MAAP.<\/p><p style=\"background: white; vertical-align: baseline; margin: 0in 0in 15.0pt 0in;\">The Ambassador further informed that in normal years all the calendars were distributed among the fans of Japanese culture through lottery but due to Covid-19 we asked our partner MAAP to distribute these calendars to the different parts of Pakistan.
