MAAP Elections 2026–2027: New Central Executive Committee Announced
The Monbukagakusho Alumni Association of Pakistan (MAAP) successfully conducted its elections for the tenure 2026–2027 in December 2025. The electoral process was completed smoothly, and the following panel of office bearers was elected unopposed, reflecting the confidence and collective trust of the MAAP membership.

Continuity in SAFJUAA Leadership
MAAP currently holds the Presidency of the South Asian Federation of Japanese Universities Alumni Associations (SAFJUAA), with the term concluding on August 31, 2026.
Given Dr. Nasir M. Khan’s active engagement in SAFJUAA affairs as President of both MAAP and SAFJUAA, and in the interest of continuity and effective coordination, he has kindly agreed to continue serving as President SAFJUAA until the completion of the current term.
MAAP highly values Dr. Khan’s leadership and dedication, which have contributed significantly to strengthening regional collaboration among Japanese alumni associations in South Asia.
Regional Chapter Elections
Elections for MAAP’s Regional Chapters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Lahore are scheduled to be organized in January 2026. Further details will be shared with members in due course.
Oath-Taking Ceremony
In line with MAAP’s longstanding tradition, the Association respectfully requested His Excellency the Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan to kindly give a convenient date and time in January 2026 to administer the oath of office to the newly elected MAAP Central Executive Committee.
New Year Greetings
