The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) was held at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad. This year the test was conducted twice. First on July 4, 2021 after a lapse of 18 months due to the COVID pandemic and the second was on December 5, 2021. Keeping with its tradition to support the conduct of JLPT and other education and culture related events, MAAP fully supported the conduct of JLPT by providing 16 proctors in July and 24 proctors in December 2021 for both the tests and being part of the planning process in close collaboration with NUML and the Embassy of Japan. This year about 216 students appeared in 4 levels of JLPT in July and 368 students appeared in 5 levels of JLPT in December 2021. The participants shows their keen interest in the language which is becoming increasingly popular in the country after Japan’s opening of its doors for persons seeking employment in Japan. MAAP would shortly be providing further details about education and employment opportunities in Japan on this website. Kindly be on the lookout and let us know in case you have any specific queries in this regard.
