The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) was held at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad. For the last couple of years the test is conducted twice a year. The first test of the year 2022 was held on July 3, 2022. Keeping with its tradition to support the conduct of JLPT and other education and culture related events, MAAP fully supported the conduct of JLPT by providing 30 proctors in July for the test and being part of the planning process in close collaboration with NUML and the Embassy of Japan. This year about 385 students appeared in 5 levels of JLPT. The maximum number appeared in N-5. The participants are showing their keen interest in the language which is becoming increasingly popular in the country after Japan’s opening of its doors for persons seeking employment in Japan.
