The newly elected Central Executive Committee of the Monbukagakusho Alumni Association of Pakistan (MAAP) warmly congratulates Prof. Dr. Tauseef Aizad on his appointment as Vice Chancellor of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Engineering & Technology (MNS UET), Multan.

Dr. Tauseef Aizad is a distinguished academic, administrator, and researcher with decades of experience in engineering education, research leadership, and institutional development. Prior to his appointment as Vice Chancellor, he served as Dean, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Dean, Faculty of Earth Sciences and Engineering at the University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore, where he also held several key academic and administrative leadership positions.

An alumnus of the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, Dr. Aizad completed his PhD in Mechanical Engineering under the prestigious Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship, placing him among the eminent members of the MAAP community. His academic journey also includes Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from UET Lahore, both earned with first division.

Dr. Aizad’s international academic exposure includes Commonwealth Academic Fellowships at the University of Cambridge (UK) and University College London, an Endeavour Research Fellowship in Australia, and a TÜBİTAK Visiting Scientist Fellowship in Türkiye. He has published over 105 research papers, authored six books, and secured multiple national and international research grants, making significant contributions to engineering research and innovation in Pakistan.

Beyond academia, Dr. Aizad has played an instrumental role in university governance through his membership in the UET Senate, Syndicate, Advanced Studies and Research Board, and various strategic committees. He is also actively associated with several national and international professional bodies, including MAAP, reflecting his continued engagement with the global academic and alumni community.

MAAP takes great pride in Dr. Tauseef Aizad’s achievements and is confident that under his visionary leadership, MNS UET Multan will continue to grow as a center of excellence in engineering education, research, and innovation. We wish him every success in this important national responsibility.
