MAAP condoled the sudden demise of Shinzo Abe

MAAP in a communique condoled the sad demise of former Prime Minister of Japan, Mr. Shinzo Abe. Prof. Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari, President, on behalf of MEXT Alumni Association of Pakistan (MAAP) and the people of Pakistan, conveyed deepest sympathies to the Ambassador of Japan in Pakistan, Government and the people of Japan particularly the family and friends of this distinguished son of Japan.

He further said that the people of Pakistan were deeply saddened to learn the assassination of Mr. Shinzo Abe, former Prime Minister of Japan and offered heartfelt condolences to his family, friends & the people of Japan.

The communique of MAAP further explained that Mr. Shinzo Abe served his country with deep commitment and worked for the wellbeing of the people of Japan and the ASEAN and South Asian region in different capacities for long years. A distinguished leader and an outstanding public figure, Mr. Shinzo Abe was ahead of his times in a rapidly globalizing world. His visionary approach on foreign policy stands as a model for strengthening South Asia’s regional relations. Pakistan will always remember with gratitude, Mr. Shinzo Abe’s contribution towards strengthening Japan-Pakistan relations and regional cooperation.

Undoubtedly, the people of Japan and the Asia have lost a wise and erudite leader whose empathy with the people of South Asia made him a much loved leader of the region.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Shinzo Abe’s family and friends as well as the people of Pakistan at this time. I wish them strength and fortitude to face this irreparable loss.
